Nicholas J. Pilosi, of Old Forge, Pennsylvania, is being remembered with love following his death on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the age of 57. He passed away at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore with his loved ones at his side, leaving behind a family and community filled with memories of a man known for his quiet humor, devotion to those closest to him, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.
Born April 29, 1969, Nicholas was a native of Taylor, Pennsylvania, and was educated in the Riverside School District. After marrying his wife, Victoria Isidori Pilosi, he made his home in Old Forge. The couple shared 33 years of marriage, celebrating their anniversary on June 19.
For Nicholas, family was at the heart of his life. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Victoria, and their daughter, Nicole Pilosi of Brigantine, New Jersey. He is also survived by his mother, Barbara Stevens Pilosi of Taylor, along with sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will continue to carry his memory forward.
Nicholas built a career through years of dedicated work. He was employed for many years as a pressman at Panel Prints in Old Forge before later working at NEPA Carton & Carrier Co., Inc. in Moosic until his recent illness. His professional life was one part of a story that also included strong family relationships and the personal interests that brought him happiness.
Those who knew Nicholas best remembered his quiet and sometimes unexpected sense of humor. He had a subtle way of making people laugh, and those moments are likely to remain among the memories his loved ones treasure most.
He did not need extravagant things to enjoy life. Some of his favorite moments were spent at home beside a fire with his wife. He also took pride in caring for his pool and making sure everything was just right. These simple routines reflected the kind of life he valued—one centered on home, companionship, and the people and interests that brought him happiness.
Nicholas was also a passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the band KISS, interests that became recognizable parts of his personality. His family and friends will remember not only what he loved but the character and humor he brought into their lives.
The family expressed sincere gratitude to Dr. Armando Sallavanti, hospice nurse Mackenzie, and the entire Hospice of the Sacred Heart staff for their compassionate care during Nicholas’s illness. Their support provided comfort to Nicholas and his loved ones during an especially difficult period.
Nicholas’s passing leaves a lasting absence for everyone who knew him. His wife, daughter, mother, siblings, relatives, and friends are now left to navigate their grief while holding close the memories of the years they shared.
A memorial visitation is scheduled for Monday, August 31, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ferri & Gillette Funeral Services in Old Forge. A Catholic Funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass will follow at 7 p.m., while interment will remain private. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Moosic instead of flowers.
