Breanna Lee (Umentum) Krueger, 32, of Denmark, Wisconsin, is being remembered with profound sadness following her unexpected passing on August 22, 2026. Her death has brought an especially heartbreaking loss to her family and community because Breanna passed away alongside her beloved newborn daughter, Wrenn Lee, whose life was also tragically brief. Their deaths have left family members, friends and loved ones mourning two lives that were deeply cherished.
Born September 20, 1993, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Breanna was the daughter of Pat and Diana Umentum. She grew up in Denmark and graduated from Denmark High School with the Class of 2012. During her high school years, she worked at Susters and DeGrand’s Family Restaurant before beginning a professional career that included positions with Bay Lake Bank, Cellcom, Capital Credit Union and, most recently, Martin Security.
One of the most meaningful parts of Breanna’s life began when she met her high school sweetheart, Nic Krueger. Their relationship began on May 12, 2012, and grew into a lasting partnership filled with love, laughter, family and shared experiences. The couple became engaged in 2020 and married on September 11, 2021.
Breanna and Nic recently celebrated another major milestone when they moved into their new home in Bellevue on July 10, 2026. The home represented a new chapter for their family and a place where they hoped to create many more memories together.
Above all, Breanna was remembered as a devoted mother. She and Nic welcomed their first daughter, Lainey Mae, in May 2023, followed by Harper Lee in June 2025. Her children were at the center of her world, and she took immense pride in being their mother.
On August 22, Breanna welcomed her third daughter, Wrenn Lee. The baby was given her mother’s middle name and shared Breanna’s tradition of having two N’s in her first name. Although Wrenn’s life lasted only a short time, she was deeply loved and will remain an important part of the family’s story.
Those who knew Breanna will remember her contagious laugh, bright smile and easygoing personality. She was described as kindhearted, generous and always willing to help someone in need. She enjoyed getting her nails done, shopping and spending time with family and friends, but her greatest joy was being a mother. She was also a beloved godmother and aunt who cared deeply for the children in her extended family.
Her family will also remember the humorous moments that became treasured stories. Among them was an infamous moped accident in which Breanna and the moped ended up against a tree, a story that continued to bring laughter whenever it was remembered.
Breanna and Wrenn are survived by Nic, Lainey and Harper, as well as their parents, grandparents, siblings, extended family and many friends. The family has expressed gratitude to the staff at Aurora Medical Center and Green Bay Fire/EMS, along with everyone who has offered support during this devastating time.
Visitation is scheduled for August 28 at Cotter Funeral Home in Denmark, followed by additional visitation and a funeral service at St. James Catholic Church in Cooperstown on August 29. A memorial will be established for the benefit of Breanna and Nic’s daughters, Lainey and Harper.
Breanna’s legacy will live through her children, husband, family and friends who will continue to carry her memory forward. Her kindness, laughter, generosity and deep love for her family will remain among the qualities that defined the 32 years of her life.
